Which director?[edit]

I removed this part: "The director cameoed on one episode as a retiring agent." Which director, the one form the agency or the one from the show? Please re-insert and clarify if you know (though you might reconsider if it's the show's), and please add the name.

Controversy and Neutrality[edit]

The section regarding controversies surrounding NCIS and the "gay witch hunts" makes a claim regarding the vigilance of the department towards said witch hunts versus their vigilance towards their stated job that is uncited and sounds more pissed-off than intelligently expressed. I'm not taking any side (for all I know, there could be evidence proving NCIS likes to spend more time rooting out gays), but I think NCIS deserves more level-headed scrutiny than mere hissy fits. My reaction towards an article should be "Huh, that's interesting, I didn't know that", rather than "Really? I think I'm gonna check out how true that is." Along these lines, not sure how "Conduct Unbecoming: Gays and Lesbians in the U.S. Military" is directly relevant as a reference to "NCIS in the Media"... certainly would be appropriate under an article discussing "Don't ask don't tell"... as such I pulled it. Roy Nedrow was not the first civilian director of NIS - NIS had a previous civilian director prior to the institution of Admirals leading the agency. Check sources -

NCIS did not stop doing DIS cases overseas - there was quite a back-log up until the mid 1990s. They recieved the lowest priority...

Greg Scovel also let a spy go...Glenn Michael Souther was turned in by his wife (an Italian). Greg didn't believe her and failed to file a report. This first Paragraph needs to make clear there is a real Government agency (Probobly links with FBI & NSA etc as one of the movie series clips claim same feeds at their fingertips) But this para reads first about the TV series and there is a page for that so add a link and delete the TV details here so we aren't so confused ~ I suggest. Headquarters Move[edit]

Weapons section - irrelevant[edit]

I think it is not relevant at all, it only lists the sidearms, they actually have a massive armory at NCIS headquarters, MP5K, CQBR, HK416, 5 round S&W handgun (used by NCIS SA's who have just joined the Service and for undercover operations), M16's, and the standard Marine and/or Navy equipment for agents overseas. Templates redundancy[edit]

If you check the "Links to related articles", there are 4 templates. The information of United States military law enforcement (last template) is included in the information of Federal law enforcement agencies of the United States (second last template).
