Minneapolis[edit]

No property in Minnesota for Brian or Julie that I can find.... I will check voting records this week.

Why? Shouldn't you instead be seeking treatment for your Aspergers? Think about what you wrote. Insert your next door neighbors' names instead and ask yourself or any random person if it sounds normal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.181 (talk) 05:34, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not on the albums, near as I can tell, but he did perform with them in concert, including an appearance on Saturday Night Live. --Dave C. 17:54, 12 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok, thats the only place Ive ever seen them. --Richy 09:40, 13 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

rockin in fl[edit]

Just saw the BSO christmas gig on PBS last night. I didn't know alot about him before watching this particular show. (Makes me wonder where I've been?) I am now very definitely a fan. This guy knows how to entertain over the top. Great work, Brian! Jgrocks 23:41, 23 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pre-Cats?[edit]

The current Stray cats farewell tour is billed as 30th anniversary. Were the group together under a diffrent name prior to being Stray Cats (methinks Tomcats)? Also the wikipedia page for Stray cats states the band was formed in 1979. 79.190.69.142 (talk) 20:08, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

US Secretary of Retro[edit]

Setzer was gently lampooned in the humor newspaper The Onion. Along with Happy Days's Anson Williams and Donny Most, Setzer served as US Secretary of Retro, a holdover from the Clinton Administration who served in at least the early Bush years. The Onion described Setzer's retro-related activities in the 80's (evoking 50's rockabilly) and 90's (where he was instrumental in the revival of 40's swing), and pointed out that he himself was the subject of retro appreciation. Trying to attempt?[edit]

Maybe this is a little nit picky but "trying to attempt" sounds a little redundant to me. Perhaps "attempting to convey" would be better?

"The album has become a cult favorite among those who understood the message Setzer was trying to attempt, such as the world's nuclear proliferation, the immigration issue, the understanding of religion and the 'working man's blues', such as unemployment, loneliness, etc." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stephlet (talkcontribs) 17:08, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps someone could describe his style of guitar playing?[edit]

I am constantly amazed by Brian Setzer's skill as a guitar player. He seems to move effortlessly between rockabilly, jazz, rock & roll, etc. I don't know much about the technical part or what he's doing in terms of the keys or the picking style or whatever. But I sure would like to read a good description of his guitar skills and style. Anyone? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.230.129.47 (talk) 04:49, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

correct info re: Gretsch endorsement[edit]

I'm changing the phrase "and is currently endorsed by Gretsch". Gretsch doesn't endorse Setzer, it's the other way around. Elsquared (talk) 06:26, 25 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion[edit]

If Brian Setzer endorses Gretsch guitars, then Gretch guitars cannot be an impartial source and cannot be used as a source of information for the article. Their interest is in selling guitars. Wikipedia is not in the retail business or the advertising business. It cannot promote any brand of anything. This is not the place for free advertising.

Brian Setzer. Brian setzer cameo AS eddie cochrane.[edit]

How can you act a cameo role as someone else? I have always thought that cameo means you are being/acting yourself in a movie. So please correct me if i'm wrong. 2001:14BB:672:2E10:FB11:CEE9:D8DC:A0DD (talk) 17:36, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
