Emperor (Warhammer 40,000) was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was keep and send to cleanup

Minor game material, presented as truth, except for the article name. Geogre 15:28, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

  • Are we sure we can't speedy this? DJ Clayworth 16:23, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: I thought about it long and hard. However, the game has an article, so, if we were to speedy this (which is an obvious delete), we'd be setting precedent for speedy deleting other minor game trivia. I'm in favor of that, but it's not policy, and I doubt that the majority would ever agree with me. Geogre 16:45, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep, but send to cleanup. All this really needs is "In the sci-fi world of WH40K blah blah blah" and other needed wikification (like categorization.) Plenty of other articles in the Warhammer series are like that. This does read like a marketing brochure though, in which case it's a copyvio. Could someone interested in WH40K comment? -Vina 20:15, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • I would like an article on this, given the character's importance within the game; however I'm not sure about this article. I think some time on cleanup is the best option, so keepRory 00:52, Sep 4, 2004 (UTC)
  • As 40k topics go, this is apparently probably top of the notability table, so keep. Re-write would be great though. . . Lacrimosus 09:07, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep, 40k is a pretty popular game, so why does it not deserve the same considerations as pokemon or Star Trek? Ilγαηερ (Tαlκ) 14:59, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
    • "There's a lot of useless crap in WP" isn't an argument for including more crap. Articles come and go on their own merits. Wile E. Heresiarch 17:04, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
  • Well, at least this says in its title what it is, unlike all the pokemon cruft. Which I'd happily delete, but people seem to want to keep it. Well, if you want to live with that, you'll have to live with this I suppose. Average Earthman 22:04, 4 Sep 2004 (UTC)
