Dexter Remmick

A google query for this fictional character which appeared in two episodes of ST:TNG garners 170 hits. [1] User:JIP said recently that "Every character on Star Trek deserves a mention" in an article somewhere. Is this really true? If so, would the same logic apply to every character who briefly appeared in an episode of the television sitcom Friends, or is this merely biased inclusionism at its very best? --GRider\^talk 19:47, 7 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Star Trek has five TV shows, ten movies, about four hundred novels, some computer and video games, and has been known for four decades. I don't think "Friends" has reached quite the same level yet.
But anyway, on second thought, I don't necessarily think all Star Trek characters deserve a mention. Characters like Commander Bruce Maddox, Captain Okona or indeed Dexter Remmick do. Even though they only appeared in one episode or so, they were an important part of that episode. Characters who have only appeared in the background (or worse yet, in some statistical listing in a Star Trek game) and could just as easily have been any other character, do not. — JIP | Talk 10:43, 8 Mar 2005 (UTC)
