Category:Military terms[edit]

Currently, "Military terms" is a subcategory of "Military"? I'm not sure of the distinction between the categories "military" and "military terms". It seems like any word or phrase under "military" would count as a "military term". Does someone have a distinct definition of each category? I can't discern any from the list of what are in both. -- A D Monroe III 03:56, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

BTW, if you think we need both categories, could you at least provide some hints on which to use for what? I have articles to categorize, and I don't know how. Currently, both categories are pretty useless, since each contain entries that could belong in the other. -- A D Monroe III 15:49, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)
I went and cleaned it up. Most of the articles were simply not categorized. Created the new category Category:Military communications in the process, which probably needs more articles added. I left in things dealing with military terminology. Michael Z. 2005-03-6 00:49 Z

  • Delete and category:Economic terms should go the same way. - SimonP 19:32, Feb 26, 2005 (UTC)
  • Merge with parent category and delete. Ditto for Category:Economic terms. -Sean Curtin 23:55, Feb 27, 2005 (UTC)
  • Cleanup After considering this further, I feel there are about a half-dozen articles about military terminology that could remain here (see my comments at Category talk:Military terms). The rest should be confirmed to be well-categorized, and removed from this category. Delete, although I don't feel that strongly about it. At the very least, every article here should show up in some other category too. Michael Z. 2005-03-4 01:50 Z
