Bill,

My name is Rich Holton (user:Rholton), and I'm the person who originally listed Ratfiv programming language on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion, though I probably should have listed it on Wikipedia:Possible copyright infringements.

Since then, I have learned that the original author of the Ratfiv is William P. Woods, Jr. -- very likely you. (it took me a while to connect the dots...)

If you are the author, you can quickly and easily put to rest any issues by making a statement to that effect, and stating that you have placed it into the public domain, and that you have the right to do so. The talk page for the article would be a good place: Talk:Ratfiv programming language.

I do want to thank you for not reacting with venom. It seems likely now that the article is legit and will not be deleted. I should warn you that it will probably be edited to remove the large block of source text, which is generally frowned upon at Wikipedia.

I hope that you continue to contribute at Wikipedia. There is always a need for another sharp mind and cool head.

-Rich

Thanks Rich, I've updated the Talk:Ratfiv programming language page as you suggested.
