John Tinker[edit]

My interests include current events, history and machine processing of natural language. My life experiences include working on a shrimp boat, being a fix-it person, a programmer, a systems analyst, and a father.

During the Reagan embargo of Nicaragua - in the 1980's - I organized a humanitarian project in Nicaragua that delivered medical equipment, bicycles, sewing machines and other items to that country.

I was a plaintiff in the 1969 US Supreme Court case Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District, which established the First Amendment rights of students and teachers in the public schools.

Recently I have been working on an "encyclopedia of current events" - schema-root.org which has over 18,000 topics, each provided with a current news feed, and resource links appropriate to the page topics.
