The Australian diaspora consists of Australians living on a long-term or permanent basis outside of Australia. Close to 5% of the Australian population reside outside of Australia, the majority of whom live in the United Kingdom, Greece or the United States. There is evidence that the diaspora is expanding.


Characteristics of Australian Expatriats[edit]

The majority of Australian expatriats are in their 20s and 30s, and patterns favour those who are highly educated and more skilled.
