Structure[edit]

Maybe the layout of the contents needs some work here, because some of these shows are kind of hard to categorize. Some shows can easily fit into more than one category. I added "Cheaters" to the "Hidden camera" section. It seemed not to be exactly the right place fot it, but comes the closest to what it is. Most of the surveillance sequence of the show fits the category, but the confrontation sequence does not. However, most of the true hidden camera type shows do have a sequence where it is revealed to the subject that they have been on camera. -- 68.45.122.185

I think that the documentary-style should be split into 2 lists. The docusoaps I think should be separated from the more professional oriented ones. The latter are basically a completely different genre and shouldnt be lumped in with the soaps.

Courtroom television[edit]

I disagree with the classification of courtroom shows as game shows. They may have "single studios" and a "canned format", but the cases and decisions are still real. I am going to create a separate section for courtroom shows. If ultimately, the Wikipedia community at large decides that this is not a valid classification of reality TV, the entire section should be removed.

Here's my take on it: reality TV is defined by the presence of real-life drama. Courtroom shows can be compared to game shows or talk shows or cooking shows or whatever in that people are only talking - they're not making decisions or taking actions of any kind. There's no "plot". To me, that seems pretty clear-cut. Yes, there's conflict, but that's not enough. Otherwise, should argumentative shows like "Crossfire" start getting included too? Who Wants to Be a Princess[edit]

Here is another reality show not recorded here.

"Who Wants to Be a Princess", in which a member of European royalty chooses a woman to marry, was broadcast on Monday, September 24, 2001, on the FOX network.

I got this information from a website which is a good reference.

Reality show on about 2 weeks ago or so. About veterans soldiers injured in battle. ONe soldier had his face blown off. What was the name of the show? And what network was it on? Several people want to know. Please help. Just 2 weeks ago, maybe 3. HELP? Batts....
