Inconsistencies[edit]

Hi!

So I'm thumbing through this book and comparing it to what I remember from Fantastic Voyage (Kurzweil). I seem to remember that FV recomends eating more proteins and low-glycemic foods (which usually means lower carb) while 10% states that we eat too many protein (too much urea produced) and recomends more carbs, albeit in the form of vegetables.

So, while I'm not accusing anyone of anything I wonder if anyone has anything to comment about this...

jam?[edit]

The rest of the page says it's fat he objects to, but there's no particular fat in jam, so I don't see why he would object to it? :/ Sticky Parkin 03:42, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If I recall, in the book Kurzweil also recommended moderating sugar intake. Jam is primarily sugar and nutrient-poor. Kurzweil's more recent writings on health have recommended cutting sugar intake to zero. --Frankg (talk) 13:39, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Have a look for yourself - the book is online. But Kurzweil has written an updated book called Fantastic Voyage with a more refined set of recommendations. He no longer recommends avoiding fat, for example. --Frankg (talk) 17:37, 24 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
