Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/30th Century Fox

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

30th Century Fox was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to merge the article with Futurama.

Delete as being another single, hyper-futuristic joke from Futurama. Because of this, it should not redirect to Futurama or 20th Century Fox. Ian Pugh 18:20, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Keep
  1. Merge and redirect - someone may be linking to this (external or internal), or searching for it. -- Netoholic @ 18:37, 2004 Nov 8 (UTC)
  2. Merge and redirect, quite a bit of Futurama content on here and redirects are cheap. Foobar 01:53, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  3. Merge and redirect - is useful information, does not deserve its own article, but should have its own section on Futurama (TV series) Brianjd 09:40, 2004 Nov 13 (UTC)
  • Keep - Contains useful information. As the article states, it isn't a single joke. Besides the logo that appears at the end of every episode, it was reference in an episode. DCEdwards1966 20:00, Nov 13, 2004 (UTC)
Delete
  1. Delete i agree - - - bob (Note: "bob" is User:129.234.4.10 -- Netoholic @ 18:37, 2004 Nov 8 (UTC))
  2. Delete, not encyclopedic. --Fastfission 00:06, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  3. Merge and delete. The information might be useful as a footnote in Futurama, but certainly no need for a redirect to be left. Chris 00:55, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  4. Merge and delete. Pretty small detail, but worth noting. Niceguyjoey 01:44, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: Not worth noting any more than "20th Century Frog" in a single skit on "Monty Python" is. It's just a joke. A single joke. The end. Possibly make the page a redirect alone, but no merge. Geogre 05:04, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete, no redirect. Wile E. Heresiarch 06:39, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. It's a throwaway joke. Average Earthman 10:18, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Perhaps give brief mention in the Futurama page or one of its derviative pages. No redirect. Redirects generally should be used for things which have the same meaning as the title, or can be found very easily in that page. The search option is the best way to find this. -R. fiend 17:07, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Fancruft. Get out of the gene pool, you're giving it a bad colour! --Improv 16:39, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete subtrivial fancruft. Psychonaut 23:05, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect. [[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 09:32, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect - the redirect will discourage people from trying to make it a separate article - David Gerard 19:52, 12 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete As much as I like Futurama. DOWN WITH FANCRUFT! --ExplorerCDT 01:31, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge into Futurama and redirect. Links exist to it; it's a reasonably often-occuring joke. Not deserving of own article but does deserve to exist. --mjec 05:37, 14 Nov 2004 (UTC)
