Hello Meister and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.

Here are some tips to help you get started:

Good luck!

Page moves[edit]

Turning Carey McWilliams into a disambiguation page made sense given that another person by that name had turned up. When you move a page like that, however, it's useful if you check "What links here" to see if you've broken any links. The instructions for "Move page" state:

Links to the old page title will not be changed; be sure to check for double-redirects (using "What links here") after the move. You are responsible for making sure that links continue to point where they are supposed to go.

In this case there was only link, from The Nation, and I'll fix that. I'm just mentioning this for you to bear in mind the next time you move a page. JamesMLane 05:21, 21 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Fishguard[edit]

Thanks for clearing out the Augean Stable that was the Fishguard article. It has been irritating me for ages, but not quite enough to prompt me to tidy it up. Great work!! . . . .LinguisticDemographer 10:03, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lauricocha[edit]

You must have mistaken me with someone else. I just moved Lago Lauricocha to Lake Lauricocha. That's all. I did not added any text. - Darwinek 19:37, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jesuitenmissionen[edit]

Hallo Meister! Was meinst Du?

Hi, hatte diesen talk fast vergessen.
-- Meister (talk) 18:53, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
-- Meister (talk) 22:10, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are now a Reviewer[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 03:03, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 4[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Isallavi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Poopó. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

- Hi, thank you for the hint, I had just pasted the wikilink from a different page, not realizing it was disambiguous. It's corrected now. Meister (talk) 14:11, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:42, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
