Radio London[edit]

Why "Wonderful Radio London"? Sure, that was what the station's jingles called it, but I don't remember anyone at the time referring to the station as anything other than Radio London or Big L - Tompeep 194.80.134.205 (talk) 17:26, 25 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Duplication[edit]

Is there any reason why we have separate entries for "England" and "United Kingdom"? 62.252.32.11 00:34, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Although I contributed most of the actual details to the expanded version, I did not commence the article and unlike some of the contributors around here who seem to wade in announced and begin to chop and change the work of others, I try to respect the work of others and go around their creations and this is why the two entries exist. However, the one valid reason for keeping an overview after merging the station topics under England, Scotland, etc., would be to reflect the legal stance of the UK towards broadcasting in general. However, if you would like to merge the material that is presently lumped under "UK" and reclassify it "land-based" and "offshore" headings for England, Scotland, etc., please go ahead. (If duplication then exists just delete the deleted items before merging, although some may contain fine details that can be added on to the other entries before deleting.) If you don't want to do this I will take the time to go over and clean it up by merging them since sufficient time has passed since the entire topic was expanded. MPLX/MH 16:17, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Similarly the Scotland section should be incorporated into United Kingdom. Ben Finn 12:30, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
In lieu of the above, since there were no responses at the time or since, I've decided to be bold and merge Scotland into the UK section. Also moved the UK section down the article since it was still alphabetically where England used to be... Fattonyni (talk) 23:00, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
