Micromouse and A*[edit]

hi

I am curious. In the revision to the micromouse entry that you made on Oct 8th 2004, you state that the A* is one of the more popular search strategies.

It is my understanding that most mice have much simpler algorithms based on a straightforward flooding of the maze in the style of Lee-Moore.

I would be very interested in finding out about any mice that use A*

Unverified images[edit]

Thanks for uploading these images:

I notice they currently don't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know their copyright status? (You can use {{gfdl}} if you release them under the GFDL, or {{fairuse}} if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks for responding. By default when you upload an image to which you own the rights, you agree to license it under the terms of the Gnu Free Documention License. I think that that should meet your criteria, so I'll tag it that way.

In the future, just add {{GFDL}} to the description page of any of your own images you that you upload. The verbiage on the upload page states that you give your consent to this license by the act of uploading, but without the tag, there's no way for the computer to "know" which images are under which license or which are indeed lacking a compatible license. It is important to be able to use the tags to automatically categorize and sort the images by license.

Also, you should identify yourself as the creator or owner of the image rights, or identify the the original source, so that its provenance is known. You can do all this in the image description field of the upload page if you want – something like this will do:

Proposed merge of Telerobotics into Telepresence[edit]

(It appears that you addended the merge tag.) I do not think this is a good idea as there are substantial differences between the concepts. This may be now a bit more clear with my recent edits to the Telerobotics section concerning Teleoperatation. Dendrograms and Computer Vision[edit]

Hi, I'm trying to bring some order to the Category:Computer vision page and notice that you (?) have linked the article on dendrogram to this category. I do not see any obvious relation between dendrograms and computer vision from the information presented in the article. I might have done that... I certainly created some of those images. It was a while ago, and I don't remember. But i do remember talking about dendrograms in my computer vision class. They are just a way to visualize data clusters which are used in computer vision for image segmentaion. You can probably delete the reference to dendrogram, but i would include either data clustering or beef up Segmentation (image processing) to include these topics. - BAxelrod 03:08, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I will remove the link to the Computer Vision category for now. Currently, the articles and categories on computer vision and image processing are somewhat out of order and partially overlapping. Just a little notification, when you reverted the vandalism on Robot Software, the vandal blanked the top of the article as well. I've fixed that problem, and you probably know this, but in the future, the (undo) button is generally the best way to revert rather than just removing the vandalism.
