Poena is Greek![edit]

Poena is the Roman version of the name. The Greek version, though (from which this name is originally derived) is Poene, and more accurately Poine. Numerous sources cite this, and I'm going to edit this shortly to reflect my findings. Surely, they're more reliable than the website provided currently. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RandyS0725 (talkcontribs) 02:26, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Poena is in the list (category) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Di_Indigetes However, she is not one of the originally Roman gods. Poene is originally a Greek goddess (the name has Greek etymology) as described in detail here: http://www.theoi.com/Daimon/Poine.html --- 70.57.146.137 (talk) 05:37, 19 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Two different stories of Poene/Poena[edit]

There is another story of a Drakon-formed Poene, but I do not know if this is a completely different Poene or its the same character (just with a different form)74.124.162.10 (talk) 14:50, 3 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
