Hello, I changed the name to Dietrich as I didn't find any info on google under Theodoric of Oldenburg, whereas there was a lot for Dietrich (See also Wikipedia naming conventions#Historical names and titles) I hope this is OK Saintswithin 13:31, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder why he was called "..the Lucky" --Stbalbach 15:33, 8 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Someone should mention that he is an ancestor of Prince Charles through a purely patrio-linear line.

Any particular reason why? He is the ancestor of several contemporary royalties, including the prince of Wales, the queen of Denmark, the King of Norway and the exking of Greece. All of them through purely patrio-linear lines.
There's no specific need to mention that. You can point to basically any monarch from the Middle Ages and there's a 95% chance he's an ancestor to every present European monarch. And not only that, old count Dietrich is also an ancestor to U.S. Democratic Party Chairman Howard Dean. Not patrio-linear of course, but still. I think it's quite clear that no such mentions should be made. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.224.121.39 (talk) 17:09, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
