I met him when he backed my sister-in-law's husband (a Sammy Davis Jr. type) in Chicago in the late 1960s. I'm sorry I don't have anything to add to the article, but he was a very supportive player, a much bigger star than Clancy (the b-in-law), but hanging back and just playing the piano. Ortolan88
