Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Could you please explain where you got your information for the Lake Dialect article you created? An Internet search failed to reveal any information on it. Taco Deposit | Talk-o to Taco 23:37, Feb 9, 2005 (UTC)

lake[edit]

My name is Sascha. My family is not from Newton, but from Brookline/Natick and before that, Roxbury Highlands. Now, I'm from Pondside JP. This story was revealed to me by word of mouth by a friend about 1 generation older than I, and is remebered by Newtonians mainly. (Tell me if you have a local connection to the Mass Bay area...?) This is by far not common knowledge. The area is known as Silver Lake, but was landfilled (because there aren't any real bodies of water in Nonantum as an automobile trip throught the area reveals.)

Tell me, what do you think? I would like to preserve this history...

hmm[edit]

Wait, I found something relevant--- not that internet info is superior than going down to the corner store and scoring some old-timer history. How's about this [http://www.boston-online.com/glossary/lake_the.html?
