GoodBye[edit]

No more than a dictionary definition. A partial one at that—Trevor Caira 21:12, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)

  • Keep and rewrite. There is interesting information relating to the history of the phrase, I think it should be kept and rewritten.--Ld 21:47, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. I think this article could be rewritten. There seems to be interesting history behind the word.
  • Delete. Copyvio of[1], and mis-capitalized. If someone wants to submit a properly titled, original article, that would probably be fine. This doesn't seem like a reasonable place to start. Niteowlneils 22:25, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete as a copyvio (or keep and send it through WP:CP if that's the correct procedure once a copyvio's been nominated for VfD). I suggest if we want another article that discusses this word, it be part of a broader article on leave-takings in general which could describe the various words and customs people use when departing. • Keep and re-write. Dan100 23:25, Dec 20, 2004 (UTC)
  • Strong Delete, this is not only a copyvio, the etymology is a bit weak. Wyss 23:32, 20 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Comment: Not only is the article not worth keeping, but it is misnamed. It should either be named Goodbye, Good bye or Good-bye. DCEdwards1966 00:36, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete for being a copyright violation. - Andre Engels 10:13, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • If copyvio is resolved, transwiki to Wiktionary. This is an article about the meaning, use and origins of a word (or phrase depending on your spelling). That makes it a good, in-depth dictionary entry, not necessarily an encyclopedia article. Rossami (talk) 04:58, 22 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Definitely delete this here, possibly transwiki under different heading -- Robert Pendray 23:44, Dec 25, 2004 (UTC)
  • Transwiki if copyright violation is resolved. Otherwise, delete. ApS Camper 04:39, 26 Dec 2004 (UTC)
