You've requested a translation of the Danish article on Heinrich Christian Friedrich Schumacher and I will produce this as soon as I have a chance. Just letting you know this request will not be ignored.--Mike 08:58, 23 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Butterflies[edit]

Hi, I have made some butterfly images and used them in List of butterflies of the Indian subcontinent. Unfortunately I made a mistake and didnt put them in the commons. Please feel free to use them. Shyamal 04:17, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect syntax[edit]

A quick note: the syntax of a redirect looks like this:

I've fixed United States National Academy of Engineering for you. --ais523 12:44, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

Charles & Robert Swinhoe[edit]

Hi Valérie. I have no explanation for this. I've got sources for Robert's date of birth but not Charles's. Have you got access to any of Charles's obituaries? I'll have a look this evening to see where I read that they were brothers. Smallweed 12:29, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

May be, I will make a research in the Bibliothèque centrale of Muséum national d'histoire naturelle in few days. Today all Wikipédias are in the error.--Valérie75 12:53, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Barbara and Richard Mearns refer to them as brothers in "Biographies for Birdwatchers" and "The Bird Collectors". Their reference is Charles' obituary in The Ibis 1924 pp. 362-3. Smallweed 09:29, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Valerie, thanks for pointing out. Very interesting. Will see if I can find any of the original sources. cheers. Shyamal 10:39, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Coslett Herbert Waddell[edit]

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll look into it as soon as possible. While checking you out, I saw that you are interested in "l'histoire des femmes scientifiques". A while ago I wrote a short biography of Alice Pruvot-Fol, a French opisthobranch malacologist, who was a leading lady ("une grande dame") in her branch of science (she can be compared in a way with Marie Curie). You might be interested in translating this article into French. There was so little to be found about her personal life. I even sent an email to the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco to obtain some more information, but got no answer. You might be luckier and perhaps be able to consult the references I gave in the article. JoJan 16:00, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look over here though. Extremely sexy 20:35, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Translation[edit]

Perhaps you could also translate another biography I wrote : Johannes Jacobus Smith, an important botanist. JoJan 13:08, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

Hi Valérie, thank you for the attention to M. James Sowerby. Pardon moi, I can not write in the French language. Merci beaucoup, Fred 22:59, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A barnstar for you![edit]

The Original Barnstar
Bonjour,

Merci! Ben Benzh (talk) 15:25, 7 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
