Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Internet is shit

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Listed for speedy deletion, but I don't think it meets the criteria for speedy. I think it should be deleted because it is original research, and because the website http://www.internetisshit.org is non-notable, and because the content of the article is promotion for the website and its non-neutral point-of-view. Oh, well... I guess it's a copyvio too, unless the creator of the article is also the author of the material on the website. Take a look at the website if you are interested... it's a long rant, fairly well-written, setting up the (straw man?) that some say the Internet is wonderful and Godlike, then knocking that down in detail. Delete: I originally listed it for speedy deletion, but agree with User:Dpbsmith that VfD was more appropriate. POV, rant, straw-man, and non-notability (in Dpbsmith's words) about sum it up for me. Klanda 03:07, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Unencyclopedic (!) title, no useful content. The matter of the copyvio is irrelevant if there's consensus to delete anyway, so do whichever is easiest or fastest. Andrewa 03:21, 16 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. POV rant, possibly copyvio. Andris 14:20, Aug 16, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete, if we're voting on it. I suppose it's not a speedy, but it's not a heavy deliberation, either. Geogre 17:50, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete very unencyclopedic, and also a C/R violation!--Plato 23:24, 21 Aug 2004 (UTC)
