    • Keep. It has been greatly improved. It's not the greatest subject for an article, but that exploding sheep keep showing up must mean something, as Cyrius points out.   • I started this article, because it is a seemingly esoteric phenomenon that, nonetheless, has featured in a few unrelated computer games, and also in the novel Before and After by Matthew Thomas (the blurb makes prominent reference to the exploding sheep gimmick, and the front cover even features a picture of a sheep, albeit in an unexploded state). However it may not be as much of a 'cult' thing as I had assumed, so delete it if you want. :) 62.64.227.10 17:50, 27 Mar 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete, unless someone can explain how exploding sheep are somehow important in game creation (a reference, why it's done, etc), to give it some encyclopedic credence.
  • I'm a bit ambivalent now. On the one hand, it's a really stupid thing to have a page for. On the other, it seems that it must mean something that it keeps showing up in games by different developers. Does anybody know of any similar strangeness? -- Cyrius | Talk 04:52, Mar 28, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep - Looks like the phenomenon began with the 1989 Peter Jackson movie Bad Taste. I can see that being a sufficiently culty classic to launch a meme. I'd like to refactor, starting with the movie and touching on the (1999) novel, and move to, say Sheep (exploding) or Exploding sheep with a real (if short) article instead of just a list, but I don't know about moving a VfD page. Exploding sheep is definitely bigger than just computer games, in any case. RichL 04:56, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)
