Dorney is still in Buckinghamshire[edit]

According to my map (Ordnance Survey 1:50000 sheet 175), the village of Dorney is still in Buckinghamshire. The border runs between Dorney and Eton Wick (which is in Berkshire), and then around the west side of Slough. -- Chris j wood 12:14, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)

For the definitive answer I've just called the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies and they have confirmed that it's just within the county of Buckinghamshire, not Berkshire. -- Graham ☺ | Talk 12:30, 1 Oct 2004 (UTC)
There are plenty of places with an inappropriate post town by the ThamesHampton Wick and Egham Hythe also have completely the wrong county under the traditional postal counties fortunately these have been solved by local government changes. Without reading your excellent point, I have clarified why it is an anomaly, as this confuses people no end, especially those who were advised by outposts of the rather ridiculous, 1960s cheapened, system of Royal Mail.

Anglicanism - lack of census info[edit]

This is always a shame to see where in small places there's a danger of a great structure being left empty - could anyone find any stats for this ecclesiastical parish or even civil parish? I hate to blame people, but any other religion, including Shia/Sunni denominations should fully blame the ONS. - Adam37 Talk 20:03, 18 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
