Pictures[edit]

I'm all for pictures, but isn't three overdoing it for such short article? Two would look better. Jihg 11:13, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)

Clive is a really handsome man. The more pictures the better. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.145.215.58 (talk) 18:35, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see it necessary to delete. Cburnett 18:28, Apr 4, 2005 (UTC)
Deleting one. It doesn't look real and really isn't necessary. Inhighspeed seems to be uploading and adding pictures of shirtless people. While it makes perfect sense if the article is about a weight lifter or body builder, for entries about Clive Owen and say, David Arquette, it is unnecessary. --Jtalledo (talk) 17:44, 10 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Jtalledo seems to be all over the place these days. Seems to like deciding what is and is not necessary. As a good Wikipedian, I will assume that Jtalledo is not a stalker, but rather knows what is best for everyone. Inhighspeed congratulates Jtalledo on a lot of fine, necessary interventions.Inhighspeed 01:07, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Privateer II?[edit]

No mention of Clive playing the lead in the groundbreaking Wing Commander Privateer II computer game? I can't say what effect it had on his career, but I do know it was the first I ever saw of him, and I still think of him as "the guy from Privateer II"

I won't add anything about it because I don't know if it's notable... is it? Seems like it was a while before he had any major roles in mainstream cinema. 64.203.42.20 07:11, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why it's not added to the filmography? As far as I remember the budget for the game was quite large and he played really good

Personal life?[edit]

I haven't really edited an article and feel intimidated to do so, and I believe this article could use mention of his two daughters. It briefly mentions his wife but I can find no where that he is a father...66.91.22.178 21:50, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SinCityD.jpg[edit]

Image:SinCityD.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot (talk) 05:29, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hard-Fi hard facts[edit]

An unlinked MySpace blog as a source? Are you serious? In fact, what is something as trivial as celebrity spottings at a random concert doing in an encyclopaedia article? --24.85.232.67 (talk) 03:16, 19 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Children of Men[edit]

The name of the character played by Owen in Children of men is given as "Thelonius Faron". Where does this come from? On the movie's page, the name of the character is given as Theo Faron, and in the the book, it is Theodore Faron. (De fideli (talk))

Google reveals very few Web references to Thelonius (or Thelonious) Faron, none of them obviously reliable sources, so I'm taking it back to Theo. Barnabypage (talk) 14:31, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday[edit]

The article here gives his birthday as 3 October 1964, but his IMDB page says its 3 Octover 1962? Is there someone who can verify if this page or the IMDB one is correct? Butler erh (talk) 16:50, 13 March 2009 (UTC)butler_erh[reply]

Protect this article[edit]

{{edit semi-protected}} please can someone put a semi protection lock on this article to avoid future vandalism, Thanks.

Not done: requests for changes to the page protection level should be made at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection. Salvio Let's talk about it! 22:10, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
FYI: This page is on my watchlist and receives minimal vandalism. Protection would not seem to be warranted. Now Macbeth on the other hand... MarnetteD | Talk 22:55, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

There is a youtube mashup out there that credits him as Clive Warren. That is meant as a joke. He has not changed his name and all other film and TV credits are for Clive Owen. The various IPs edits should be reverted ASAP. MarnetteD|Talk 16:02, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure? Wasn't he in a film with Rebecca De Mornay? "The Love of Two Brains" or summit? I distinctively remember hearing about it, there was some lesbian scene near the end. Back when that was trendy. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.209.236.59 (talk) 21:54, 31 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
