Untitled[edit]

The sentence "Instead, he turned his attention to writing novels." Seems to be missing something that led up to it. Has something been deleted? Or should this read "Next, he turned his attention to writing novels."? JBRU 12:04, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

The whole paragraph really needed to be reorganized. I fixed it -- it reads much better now. BorgHunter 02:01, Jun 5, 2005 (UTC)

Not sure why Mikelee thinks there is a copyright violation on this page. I'm the original author and didn't violate copyright when I wrote it and MikeLee didn't explain what his problem was with the page when he tagged it.Shsilver 15:02, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at Mikelee's brief history and comments, I assume he marked this page for speedy deletion as a way of trying to annoy BorgHunter.Shsilver 15:04, 1 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah. I'm so angry I could just...revert the edit! —BorgHunter (talk) 03:26, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The man is my great-grandfather, so I'll try to find a family picture to scan and toss in here. —BorgHunter (talk) 03:23, 12 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Mathematically speaking[edit]

The wording "in which one third of the United States is bitterly in strife against the pandemically infected other half" troubles me from a mathematical perspective. Although my schooling lies many years in the past, I don't remember one third equalling one half. I'm the first to admit that I could be wrong. The only reason I'm not bolder about changing it myself is because the novel divided the U.S. at the Mississippi River. Some [citation required] define that as America's midpoint, which implies one half in strife against the other half, but from a population standpoint, one could argue that it is one third in strife against the other two thirds. From an area standpoint, it would be two thirds in strife against the other third. This is just too complicated for me. Cwelgo (talk) 22:55, 23 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
