The weight chart is wrong. A toy poodle should weigh 4-6 lb for example. Please check with kennel associations.

For example:

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Lightoil (talk) 00:06, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Weight Range Changes[edit]

Hello. I am going to change the weight ranges for the toy, mini and medium sizes since they are implausible. Based on AKC standards and other sources.

Toy: 2-3 kg (4-6 lb) , Miniature: 4.5-7 kg (10-15 lb) , Medium: 9-13 kg (20-30 lb) , Standard: 18-32 kg (40-70 lb)

While those weights are what is listed on the AKC web site, they are also not realistic. For example, most AKC Miniature Poodles are between 13" and 15" at the withers. All of my 15 inch male show dogs have been 17 pounds off season and around 24 pounds during hunting season. HuntingPudel (talk) 01:47, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Caniche meaning[edit]

According to wiktionary Caniche is likely from Latin canis or canicula. There's no mention of duck in the name. Drake in French is malard and Duck (female) is cane.

I couldn't find any references in French to duck dog either. I propose that this translation/etymology be removed for lack of verification. 222.155.7.217 (talk) 00:09, 26 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
