Hmmm. What do we think about the last line of the article? If an article has duplicated content from an umbrella article, should they indeed be edited to conform with each other when changes are made. I find this dubious and very troubling. -- Cimon Avaro on a pogo stick 06:15 12 Jun 2003 (UTC)

Best to structure pages to minimise duplication. Should not be necessary to comment that pages need to be kept in step. Certainly comments about editing already done or to be done should never be in the main page, but in talk page instead. I have seen other main pages (even good ones) asking for an expert to update them; out of place there. John Newbury 2005-07-30

a question..[edit]

How is "Bare particular" distinguished from "essence"? Is it merely that "Bare particular" is a more specific term for a kind of essence, or is there something I am missing? (20040302 00:18, 31 October 2005 (UTC))[reply]

An essence is a set of attributes, without which a substance ceases to exist. Can we conclude that a bare particular, having no attributes, also lacks essence? 134.58.253.131 10:06, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
