Removal of irrelevant material[edit]

Removed this stuff from the article... couldn't see what it has to do with Paul Ricard! Enchanter —Preceding undated comment added 15:31, 9 April 2002 (UTC).[reply]

Marathon Background:

Specially designed cars are designed for extremely low fuel consumption. These cars give a very high number of miles per gallon. The challenge is to provide the driver with information on how to operate the car in such a way that it produces the most number of miles per gallon. Even though a considerable amount of success is due to the manufacturer, the critical success is usually based on the drivers.

The Cars: The cars are produced with a single gear operational engine. The engine is operated or turned off during the circuit. The switching of the engine allows the drive to maintain an optimum speed. As the weight of the car is of such importance the drivers are usually young children who are light and small. Simple instructions have to be provided to them on how to operate the cars. The car structures are usually use a monocoque, for aerodynamic advantage, and low to the ground and lightweight.

The Kings' car The car has three wheels, weighs 38 Kg and it is powered by a purpose built 28-cc 4-stroke engine. The engine accelerates the car up to 20 mph in about 8 seconds and the car then coasts for up to 2 minutes. The driver for such car is required to wait 25 Kg, that corresponds to a eleven-year-old.

Expand using official site[edit]

I added a link to the official site, which has much more information than is contained here about the track and its history. I'm too lazy to update the entry myself, but I think it should be done :) Mactenchi 18:43, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect title[edit]

The correct name of this venue is Circuit Paul Ricard. This page should be moved to that title and this one made to a redirect. Twirly Pen (Speak up) 12:57, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
