Verifiability[edit]

This article's introduction contains conjectural statements ("The Everblades are thought of as a model franchise for the ECHL," "The Everblades' fanbase is also considered to be one of the best in the league") that are not supported by the supplied references. Weasel words[edit]

While I appreciate the attempt to fix the issues I listed above, unfortunately the sentences in question still employ weasel words. It is not sufficient to say that the "Everblades are thought of by many in the ECHL as a model franchise" without having a source that clearly indicates that multiple individuals in the ECHL actually do think of them as such (not to mention that a model franchise ideally would have won the league championship at least once). Similarly, sourcing the team's attendance statistics does not support the statement that the "Everblades' fanbase is also considered to be one of the best in the league". You would need to have a source that directly states that many people (and ideally it would specify who those people are) consider the fanbase as such.

As far as sourcing, ideally the article would be supported primarily by reliable secondary sources such as newspapers. This is not to say that the ECHL and team websites aren't valid sources for information, but they shouldn't be the primary sources that the article depends on...they should be mostly for supporting data such as statistics and roster information. Google news can be extremely helpful in this regard, especially searching the archives. I would also check the website for the local newspaper for articles about the team. User:Gailvila, thank you for your work on this article. We're almost there with the weasel word thing. Wikipedia can only report facts, and phrases such as "The Everblades are a model franchise in the ECHL..." and "The Everblades' fanbase is also one of the best in the league..." are opinion statements. A better way to word this would be to let the facts speak for themselves, i.e. "The Everblades have not missed the playoffs in any of their thirteen seasons and have made two appearances in the Kelly Cup Finals. The Everblades' fanbase has finished first in the league in attendance 5 times, and never lower than fourth." You could then remove the "This is according to the ECHL website" bit.
