PhD[edit]

I thought that Dexter took time to finish his doctorate and received his PhD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.95.142.23 (talk) 06:00, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought so, too, so I did a quick Google search and found that he's apparently still working on it, and published a paper earlier this year. I'll add this to the article. 2601:1:8B80:9F:B093:B5BA:70E1:FCC5 (talk) 06:24, 23 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

He has defended it in March 2017. The text is available at http://digitallibrary.usc.edu/cdm/compoundobject/collection/p15799coll40/id/364391/rec/1 89.89.242.133 (talk) 09:08, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the term "molecular biologist" be reserved for people who actually do molecular biology? This guy does a lot of things, to be sure. But he doesn't do molecular biology. Drkirienko (talk) 16:35, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What would you call someone who has a PhD in molecular biology? -- ferret (talk) 16:37, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Academic papers[edit]

Can anyone cite any of this person's published academic papers? Blue Rasberry (talk) 23:29, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He only has 1. It's in PLoS One. Drkirienko (talk) 16:37, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Place of birth?[edit]

According to his California Birth Index entry, Dexter Holland was born in Los Angeles County. This article lists his birthplace as Garden Grove, California, which is in Orange County. Does anyone know which of these is correct? --Hostagecat (talk) 22:04, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Remove Ph.D from name in title?[edit]

Of all the other Ph.D holders I've seen on here, none of them have the title in their names at the beginning of the article. I think in keeping with wiki style it should be removed. Gamle Kvitrafn (talk) 18:24, 2 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
