Um ... did the article at that time not state whose mother she was?

Seriously, I realize that for most notable people, their parents are not automatically of interest, but Mozart's got to be an exception. After all, lots of minor royalty that virtually no one ever heard of outside their own family get accepted as sufficiently notable in Wikipedia simply because they are descendants of someone famous, often various generations removed. I think that's got to go double for someone who directly produced a figure that legendary; I don't see anyone questioning the inclusion of Elvis Presley's mama.

Moreover, one of the functions of Wikipedia — wherever you rank this function in importance — is to serve as a resource to students and similar types. Over time, this article can be developed with whatever additional information is out there about Anna Maria Mozart, and people who are studying up on Mozart in any depth are inevitably going to be interested in the supporting figures in his life. Florin[edit]

I removed this text "(250 florins per year)" from the article, because the "florin" did not come into existence until 1754, which is 37 years later than the date in the article. If you know what he was paid, then please fix this. Nick Beeson (talk) 15:03, 26 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

That passage was added by User:Opus33 on 16 October 2007, apparently based on Solomon. The term "florin" had later been linked to various coins, probably all wrong. The term, and especially its abbreviation, fl., has been used for a number of currencies other than the Florentine one, including Dukat and Gulden. If the number (250) can be verified, the passage should be restored and the linked term should be Guilder, or better the REDIRECT Gulden (historical denomination) to that article. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 06:48, 27 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
