Untitled[edit]

On July 2, 2008 I undid the prior revision (you can compare the two) which added the following line to the synopsis: "This fade to black call to mind the ending of the Sopranos." I hope it's evident why I removed that line. ChrisInRaleigh

This is a really short article for such a great (and important) film. I'll try to watch it sometime soon and pad this out some... — OwenBlacker 23:47, Jun 29, 2004 (UTC)

Does anyone know where you can get a transcript of the film with the French?

I have a book of the film script in French with German translations on some words, I found it on amazon. Robski 23:10, Aug 23, 2006 (GMT)

Regarding the plot summary provided, I'm pretty sure the film ends with a single gunshot as the last scene goes black. At least that's what the script says, and what my memory tells me.

Spoiler Warning[edit]

A subheading warning of spoilers would be useful for the first section here.

In regards to the spoiler - Yes - it is one gunshot. This should be changed as the article implies both characters shoot their guns, whereas the actual ambiguity lies in which of the two shoots the bullet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.173.208.154 (talk) 10:55, August 30, 2007 (UTC)

Police reaction[edit]

It's not safe to say "Police officials hated the film, saying it was not accurate of how they acted." I think there needs to be a reference or something? Or maybe less of a generalisation. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.44.225.200 (talk) 14:08, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A reference has been added but it is misattributed. In what is currently the penultimate paragraph of the Reception section, a quote has been attributed to a spokesperson for the Prime Minister. In fact, though the article used as a citation begins with mention of the Prime Minister having watched the film, this section of the article, and the quote, is from a police "spokesman". Synopsis warning[edit]

I would insert a Subheading warning about the content of the Sinopsis. It is so rich that tells you the whole plot of the film. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.32.151.233 (talk) 11:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia contains spoilers; they are allowed and that is one of the guidelines, it is an encycolpedia. Vincent Valentine 22:46, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Vinz" not "Vince"[edit]

In English, we may shorten "Vincent" to "Vince", but in the film, it's shortened to "Vinz". In fact, his character's name is introduced by means of a piece of jewelery that says "Vinz".Fuzzform (talk) 01:12, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation of the title[edit]

The title is pronounced [laɛn] not [laɛ:n]. Please correct it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Yakuzanodon (talkcontribs) 12:49, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Last paragraph of plot[edit]

In the final paragraph of the plot section, when referring to the portion of the film just prior Vinz being shot by the plain clothes policeman, it states "[makes]reference to the incident with the skinheads." I am not certain this is correct; the plain clothes policeman, does, in fact allude to Said & Vinz being "on the roof" however, I was under the impression he was referring to earlier in the film when they were told they must leave the gathering on top of the roof of the gym, by the same policeman. --Slippycup (talk) 16:20, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
