Speedy deletion of The Great IPv6 Experiment

Thanks for the heads-up. I would like to add though, that your line of reasoning seems pretty odd to me. I realise that Wikipedia should not be used for personal promotion and had I crudded up random articles, your removal would have been entirely justified. This, however, was a link on my personal wikipedia user page to my personal (entirely non-commercial) web site/blog. As you mention, the link does not effect search engine rankings (which I was aware off) which just deepens the mystery of why you believe it to be a problem. Friism (talk)

Thanks for the reply. The message I sent you was a template, so it probably didn't get my point across as well as it could've. Basically, I removed the link on your userpage because it violated the userpage policy, more particularly - 'Advertising or promotion of a business or organization unrelated to Wikipedia (such as purely commercial sites or referral links)'. I removed the link as it appeared to simply be a referral.

Since you have indicated it is your own personal website, (I couldn't quite tell by going to it! :) ), you shouldn't have too many issues in having it on your userpage. Just be careful not to link to it to much, and it may be helpful to add a little more info to your userpage just so it doesn't look too spammy.
