This is not a real classical term--at least as far as I can tell. The Latin does translate literally "guardian of the womb," however, I have consulted the Oxford Classical Dictionary and several other Roman life references I own and found nothing pertaining to this term. It also fails the Google test spectacularly, leading me to believe it is bogus. Delete, unless another classicist with some info wants to intervene. —Ed Cormany 21:50, 20 May 2004 (UTC)

- Delete: I think the term he was looking for is “curator ad ventris". Also, appointing fetal guardians has precedence in modern law, as well. This article should be deleted and - if the author or another is inclined to do so - replaced by one on fetal guardianship - Kael
