Requests for translation[edit]

Could you please, on your many requests for translation, be more specific about the reason for translation than "broaden people's knowledge"? All articles presumably broaden people's knowledge; this gives no one any clue why a particular article merits translation (so it is less likely that anyone will follow through). -- Jmabel | Talk 23:03, Dec 27, 2004 (UTC)

Eh? I don't think that I take out copyright permission to Jewish Encyclopedia. Because this Encyclopedia was published on 1910s.

Rákospalota (+ other) interwikis[edit]

Hi, why did you put interwiki links for German, Hungarian and Japanese into the Rákospalota article when there is no article on this subject in any of the above three languages? I see you've inserted a Japanese link for the Hungarian State Opera House and Ganz as well. – I'd rather you wrote the articles first and then inserted the interwiki links, so as not to mislead readers. -- Adam78 08:54, 7 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please remove then the interwiki links which link to non-existing pages? (Unless you write the articles in the other languages, of course.)
MÁVAG is "Magyar Királyi Államvasutak Gépgyára", Machine Factory of the Hungarian Royal State Railways, which initially produced mostly steam locomotives from around 1873 and it functioned until about the first half of the XX century (?).
hu:Budapesti agglomeráció ("Budapest conurbation" or "Budapest outskirts") is not Great-Budapest. Great-Budapest is practically today's Budapest and only that, while the Hungarian article is about an area which includes about 50 more municipalities as well around (outside of) Budapest, in Pest county. Of course, several municipalities which were unified with Budapest in 1950 were part of those times' conurbation and as Budapest grew larger it became adjacent to different municipalities.
