earlier unsigned comment[edit]

The organization of Rivers in wiki seems a little discombobulated. There has been an attempt to catalogue rivers using categories under the prime category "Rivers". This organizational philosophy appears to have fallen on hard times with more effort put into creating "lists" of rivers. These lists are organized by geographic name (e.g. List of rivers in Somecountry) or by characteristic (e.g. list of rivers by Somecharacteristic). Between lists, there is no common format template, unfortunately.

What would be helpful is a cohesive organizational philosophy for the Rivers category. Does anyone else agree?

Meaningless Rivers[edit]

I tried to add the Amazon river and the Nile because those are meaningful rivers, unlike those listed in here but I found out I could not edit the contents of the page... Why's so?Undead Herle King (talk) 18:25, 2 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
