Fair use rationale for Image:Morbid visions.jpg[edit]

Image:Morbid visions.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:34, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Black/death metal (again)[edit]

There are some editors who believe that black and death metal are mutually exclusive genres, even during the formative stages of both genres in the 1980s. It seems that this is an impossible position to hold in the face of contrary reliable sources. In this particular case (and this discussion has been had before), Terrorizer magazine fits about the most stringent policies Wikipedia has for a commercially published, third person reference source on a specialist subject. Editors' personal preferences shouldn't come into it.

(User:Musicaindustrial, not a personal attack, I think you're generally an excellent editor; but I felt this point needed reiterating.) Blackmetalbaz (talk) 14:53, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Black Metal?[edit]

Could we put Black Metal on this genre category? Since just hear the beginning of their songs "The Curse" or "Beastial Devastation", you will hear what I'm talking about. Yes, the majority of the style is played into a Death/Thrash Metal style, but hear's the catch; the lyrics do sound like a Black Metal album, but that's just me though, however. You can disagree and whatnot Wikipedia. But I can bet you that almost everyone that I says this is a Black metal/Death Metal album, without a doubt. User:panicpack121 4:43pm, 29 April 2011, Friday.

I have no input as to whether or not this album is black metal, but that argument is full of original research. Hearing songs and applying genres to those songs can easily be the OR that I speak of. Lyrics are weak determinants of music genres, as any genre can contain lyrics of any topic. Also, I don't even know what that last sentence is supposed to mean. Thrash metal genre[edit]

Morbid Visions can be, yes, considered ALSO a Thrash metal album. This album is not only Black and Death metal, also has songs that contain a traditional part of Thrash, riffs, melody and etc. The song who contains this caracteristics the most is Troops of Doom. There are some sources that say this album is also thrash:

(Here says also that is a Speed metal album, but I don't agree, anyway:) Allmusic - http://www.allmusic.com/album/morbid-visions-bestial-devastation-mw0000597217

AllMusic says the album overall was black metal, if you look at the prose review only. We don't use the sidebar genres on AllMusic. Binksternet (talk) 03:01, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
