After one week, anyone may promote candidates to Wikipedia:Featured articles, or remove candidates that have failed.

Promoting a candidate to featured status[edit]

Only articles without unresolved objections should be promoted to featured status, unless there is a strong consensus otherwise.

  1. Add a link to the article in the proper category on Wikipedia:Featured articles.
  2. On the article talk page, replace the {{fac}} template with {{featured}}.
  3. Move the discussion to Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Featured log.

Removing a candidate with unresolved objections[edit]

  1. On the article talk page, either remove the {{fac}} template or replace it with {{fac-contested}}.
  2. Move the discussion to Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Archived nominations.

Sending a candidate to peer review[edit]
