Pyroto[edit]

A short, poorly-written article about an obscure online game which has been defunct since August 2003. It appears to have been entirely non-notable whilst it existed, and is even less notable now. - Ashley Pomeroy 18:30, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete: Sounds like Wikipedia, the Home Game, doesn't it? Not notable, defunct. Geogre 01:31, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete - non-notable - Drstuey 01:33, 28 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Defunct games are non-notable, delete unless notability during its existence can be established. [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 10:57, Nov 29, 2004 (UTC)
  • Actually, Pyroto significantly pre-dates the web-based version mentioned in the original article. Pyroto was originally a self-contained BBS system (which could also be played as a "door" via other BBS software) from roughly 1985, and is notable in that it had a completely different design and structure from other BBS software packages at the time in how it provided a forum where ad-hoc political systems could readily develop amongst the users. The original article may have been poorly written, but hopefully at some point a better written article on Pyroto will appear on Wikipedia (if I can gather some better hard facts on who developed it and when it first appeared, I'll do so myself, having been active in the Pyroto community back in 1987 myself) Yaztromo 08:53, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
