German phrases[edit]

When I was attempting to convert this article to standard English, there were a few sentences I simply couldn't make sense of. Maybe the original author would like to have another bash at them. Deb 17:26, 7 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Ich habe ja gewußt, daß ich fliegen kann" (in English: "I did know that I could fly". That looks like "I knew that I could fly to me"...EunuchOmerta 18:40, 15 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The general sense is that she knew she can achieve the unexpected.
The translation from German is correct, I think. --Wernher 14:39, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

French school boys[edit]

I removed the following sentence, regarding Berger's role in Cross of Iron: "Her appearance as a sympathetic nurse aroused the manly spirit in vast numbers of French high school boys." --Wernher 14:40, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We need photographic evidence to support this[edit]

The article states that she appeared: " in a series of roles that often showcased her gorgeous backside". I think we need some photographic proof as backup. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.67.104.4 (talk) 14:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Puff Piece![edit]

Good grief, what a puff piece! Someone needs to mention When Women Had Tails, although I am sure that Senta would love for everyone to forget it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pernoctus (talkcontribs) 23:10, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the biography of Senta Berger, It would have been more complete if mention were made whether she is Jewish by birth. If so, the article could have discussed her childhood experiences during World War Two. Also, inasmuch as she married a German, does she not have any interest in her identitiy as a Jew? Or, perhaps, is her mother not of Jewish origin, whereupon Senta Berger is herself not Jewish, and the entire issue is thereby moot? These questions may be of interest to the reader/fan of her artistry, as it is unusual nowaday, to learn of a Jewish film actress born during WW2 of such extraordinary beauty.

Does she have siblings, other family? Has sheever been active in public relations or philanthropy on behalf of Israel?

Otherwise, the article is not especially informative or interesting.

Sincerely,

== It Takes a Thief ==

Senta was in at least 3 episodes of "It Takes a Thief" (1967-1969). She appeared twice in the first season (including the pilot) as Claire Vickers, and the last season as Laurie James.
