Please explain your edits to Discworld here. silsor 18:26, Jan 8, 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, I've just reverted your changes twice - not sure what you're trying to do with the HTML tags. violet/riga (t) 18:34, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I read the Discworld novels frequently, and several characters from all over the series make guest appearances, which I would call "easter eggs."

That bit is fair enough and I can see why you're adding it, but each time you edit it breaks a lot of the wikilinks, inserting HTML tags that are not required. If you're not doing that manually then I suggest there is an odd bug happening. violet/riga (t) 18:41, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

All that I was doing was just inserting a wikilink to the easter egg (virtual) article. I'm not sure what a HTML tag is.

We're talking about the part where you inserted

"<a onMouseOver="window.status= ; return true;" onMouseOut="window.status=;" oncontextmenu="window.status=; return true;" onclick="location.href='http://www.enhancemysearch.com/admin/results.php?q=work&id=4';return false;" href="" TITLE="More Info..."><a onMouseOver="window.status= ; return true;" onMouseOut="window.status=;" oncontextmenu="window.status=; return true;" onclick="location.href='http://www.enhancemysearch.com/admin/results.php?q=work&id=4';return false;" href="" TITLE="More Info..."> work,</a></a>"

and other links like that. Inserting links to commercial sites with javascript intended to hide them isn't exactly helpful to the article. silsor 18:47, Jan 8, 2005 (UTC)

OH THAT! That's a third party working there. Sorry guys, I'm trying to fix that, but no luck.

I looked around on the web and it looks like some spyware that hijacks forms in IE. Try some spyware sweeping programs to get rid of it. silsor 19:02, Jan 8, 2005 (UTC)

would norton<a onMouseOver="window.status= ; return true;" onMouseOut="window.status=;" oncontextmenu="window.status=; return true;" onclick="location.href='http://www.enhancemysearch.com/admin/results.php?q=Antivirus&id=49';return false;" href="" TITLE="More Info..."> antivirus </a>work?

Try using Spybot Search & Destroy or Lavasoft's Ad-Aware. If you are a more advanced user you may want to try HijackThis. You can download these all for free on the web. silsor 19:16, Jan 8, 2005 (UTC)

thanx

If you found out what spyware program was installed on your computer, can you tell me the name? I want to know if there's any way we can target spam filters to it. -- Tim Starling 13:49, Jan 11, 2005 (UTC)

I have no idea how, all I know is that it could have been a trojan horse virus or something of the matter. I am unable to completely eradicate it, because my norton is tampered wtih.
