Twin Peaks as cult television[edit]

While I completely agree with the inclusion of Twin Peaks as a cult television series, I find the manor in which it is described in this article has very little to do with cult television, apart from reference to it being canceled, a movie made based on it and returning for another season many years later.

The description really does nothing to illustrate how or why Twin Peaks is considered a prime example of a cult television series. For example, it fails to mention that its following grew immensely after it had been canceled and has continued ever since it was canceled. It fails to mention that there are one or more yearly conventions devoted to it. It fails to mention that numerous books have been written about it and a magazine was devoted to it. While mentioning that a third series was eventually produced, it doesn't explicitly make clear that this was largely due to its continued cult following after twenty years. While reasons that it is considered a prime example of cult television are plain to me as a cult fan of the show, I don't feel they are really explained here at all, it is just an overly large (in context) paragraph devoted to what we are expected to accept is a cult television series.

This is an article on "cult followings" and not on "Twin Peaks", so the amount of information devoted to one specific example should be limited, but I find its inclusion as presented does little to advance the understanding of "cult followings".

Obviously, I guess I could attempt to improve this myself, but I don't feel particularly qualified to do so, following Wikipedia's need for attribution to sources and the like. I am hoping that someone more qualified can take this up, or, failing that, I may attempt to do so myself at some point in the future. Rsngfrce (talk) 10:28, 11 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Automobiles[edit]

The Brands section mentions a lot of specific car models, shouldn't that be under it's own section? Cashew.wheel (talk) 15:48, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
