Untitled[edit]

Is it's official name the "Chinese New Party"? CIA abbreviates it CNP and some news articles are calling it by that name. Someone literate in Chinese want to go investigate on the website? I couldn't find anything. --Jia ng 12:37, 20 Mar 2004 (UTC)

No, it shouldn't. Just as the article on Republican Party (United States) shouldn't be moved to the technically more accurate Republican Party (United States, Puerto Rico, American Samoa and Guam), jguk 19:55, 25 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Poll[edit]

Was anyone here aware Instantnood is running another poll to move "XXX of Taiwan" to "XXX of the Republic of China" at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese)/NPOV/Taiwan vs. ROC? The poll "started" a week ago, but since no pages link to the polling page, I thought maybe it was a little onesided and needed some publicity... SchmuckyTheCat 21:20, 5 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Disclaimer

I first suggested to proceed to have a poll as a solution on March 10 at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese)/archive4#Solution, and there was no objection. More than two weeks later on March 26 I suggested to have polls on a case-by-case basis (at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese)/NPOV#Solution). A link was added at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Chinese)/NPOV#Solution to direct readers to the polling page on March 31, at the time when the polling page was created.

SchmuckyTheCat is wrong for accusing me for starting the polls with no page linked to it, that it might resulted in onesided and lack of publicity. Please note this is an accusation, though I am pretty sure opinion wouldn't be affected easily. — Insta ntnood 06:40, Apr 6, 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:New Party (Taiwan).png[edit]

Image:New Party (Taiwan).png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

Please do not make any unilateral moves before discussing on the talkpage. I believe there is a pre-established consensus on this article's name. There was a poll that showed only 29% support of the move to New Party (ROC).--Jerrch 20:31, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
