Martins waiting in the wings[edit]

The following people whose family name is Martin are mentioned somewhere in Wikipedia but have not yet got their own articles:

It is found in central Uganda and is believed to be more than 700years old. He was assassinated on a Wednesday morning in 1945 while he had gone for morning prayer at Namirembe Cathedral as was his practice every morning. It is believed he was assassinated for giving away land on which the current Makerere University was built.212.88.103.198 10:56, 29 August 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.88.103.198 (talk) 13:51, August 28, 2007 (UTC) -|l'KF'l| 23:18, Aug 21, 2004 (UTC)[reply]

Moved those with existing articles to article namespace. — Jeandré, 2005-08-27t17:46z
I would suggest adding them all. Seeing red links will likely encourage knowledgeable folks to fill out the articles themselves. Bastie 21:18, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

10th Governor of Kansas,1884-1889. Secretary of Wyandotte Constitutional Convention 7/5/1895.

Splitting up[edit]

The surname Martin section is certainly large enough to warrant its own page. Also, I'd favour a single alphabetical list. Getting fancy with subdivision always has disadvantages, when people are looking without the assumed attribute information. Charles Matthews 16:18, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have never heard of a child being named after The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr. Velocicaptor 17:00, 16 September 2006 (UTC). I have - me! Martinj6523 09:19, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ther is no history on the name or anything like that and I believe that if people visiting this page might want to know background info on the name and its origin
