Comment[edit]

I copied the page for the Univ. of Iceland from our intro page on our webpage(http://www.hi.is). I work at the University of Iceland and take full responsibility for the text being displayed on Wikipedia (my email address is bmz(at)hi.is

I verified it by email. Thus it is not a copyright violation. andy 16:21, 5 Dec 2003 (UTC)

Too much POV -- this reads like a promotion, not a neutral article. I'm going to fix the text. -- User:Palthrow

This entry could really do with a photo of the university Palthrow 19:52, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:HI Seal.jpg[edit]

Image:HI Seal.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

hello iceland[edit]

Hello,

My name is Ana Guerrero I live in California, USA and I am 15 years old. I am a 10th grade student at Narbonne High School (http://www.narbonnehigh.org/) in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

As part of a class project, my History teacher has asked me to contact a school in ICELAND. I am therefore trying to locate a History (or English – in non-English speaking countries) teacher in your school who would be interested in an e-mail exchange between our classes. With Global Warming an increasing concern to all of us, everywhere, I am hoping to find out how this issue is affecting young people in ICELAND.

Could you please put me in touch with a History (or English – in non-English speaking countries) teacher in your school who might be interested in such an exchange? If you would like to contact my teacher, Mr. von Bergman, you can reach him via the school website at http://www.narbonnehigh.org/apps/staff/.

Thank you very much.

You need to go to their website, here, to contact them, this is only Wikipedia. We make articles here, not represent schools or what not. :) --Girdi (talk) 12:44, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
