Regarding F.O. Matthiessen, I'm glad to have another interested editor of the article. I find some of your deletions a little confusing: it seems like you're removing factual material from the article, which is a bad idea. Talk page un-blanking

Lantog, in answer to your question, I edited your talk page to restore the messages you've been deleting. Please have a look at Wikipedia:Avoiding common mistakes and Wikipedia:Talk etiquette FAQ -- blanking your talk page in order to hide criticism is generally considered bad manners (though it's not expressly forbidden by policy, it is often frowned upon and/or reverted). I don't mean to make trouble for you, and in fact, the major reason I restored the messages you deleted earlier was to preserve my earlier link to Wikipedia:Avoiding common mistakes, a page I sincerely recommend that you read. From what you've written I think you probably have a lot to contribute to Wikipedia, and I think Wikipedia sorely needs more expertise in your fields, so I suggest you take a look over the policies and guidelines a bit more carefully and learn the way Wikipedia works before needlessly taking offense or getting into unnecessary quarrels. -- Rbellin|Talk 05:26, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
