Orphaned non-free media (File:Enrico Berlinguer.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Enrico Berlinguer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:10, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:51, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Gianfranco. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Ignacio de Loyola, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Killer Moff (talk) 15:27, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Mail, header tag[edit]

Gianfranco. 15 years ago (!!!) you originated Mail. 9 years ago, it was tagged as having no inline citations—and it's still a mess. For example Hammurabi is listed as an Assyrian! I read on your User page that you're a lurker. If you know the subject, could you please 'lurk' some citations into the article. Also, you have a 9 (!!!) year old tag at the top of this page mentioning your 'absence'! Do you leave it up for amusement? Regards Tapered (talk) 04:09, 29 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tapered, I'm very sorry for my delay in answering you, but first of all thank you for your kind message :-)
About the article: 15 years ago sources were not required, we simply had to start articles, to add some content, and this is what we did. Of course, now there are serious problems with what we wrote at that time, and the problem is that today I simply wouldn't be able to remember where the hell I found the sources I used for this and for other articles (I had even completely forgotten I had written this one, but I very often think to this other, that still contains part of "my" unsourced content :-) Most of my edits of that age come from paper, often they were very small informations picked up from each of my many sources; and some of the books I could have used then are materially unaccessible to me any more. I should perhaps re-think on how to rewrite the article once again, and maybe this way I could meet again the same sources, or part of them, but... is there another way by which I could help? :-)
At least, I didn't mention Hammurabi (this is my second and last edit), so I didn't call him that way :-)
About my being absent from en.wiki, yes, concretely it's the truth that I don't contribute any more, I wouldn't call this a presence: actually, I occasionally make some maintenance mostly as a consequence of service actions I make in it.wiki, this is the most I do. I'm now far from the Village Pump, I don't follow the evolution of rules and policies, I don't have a true up-to-date feeling of the Communitarian consensus; I wish I still could follow, indeed, but I now have a reduced time for it.wiki, which is now my home project (it once was this one), and I'm afraid here I would now be more a troublemaker than a helpful user :-). Also, as you can (unfortunately) see, I can't grant I would answer quickly as one would expect from a "present" user, so I believe that it would be better, or safer, that the template (that was added by someone else) stays there where it is... :-) --g (talk) 10:11, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Vielen dank, Herr Gianfranco! (-: Tapered (talk) 03:05, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rudolph Valentino requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.movieactors.com/actors/rudolphvalentino.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
