I noticed that there was an article at Hugh W. Hoyles that was more developed than this one. But there are more links to this article and the article itself does not refer to the "W." in his name. For the most part, I replaced the content of this article with the other. However, I used the color image that was here rather than the B&W--I thought it looked a little better, but I don't really care one way or the other, in case anyone else does. One discrepency that I can't resolve: the article that was here gave the year of birth as 1814, while this one gives it as 1815. older≠wiser 20:17, 2 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Why not include the reference to th Dictionary of Canadian Biography which is online?

Info box needs changing, is currently written out in longhand with <tr>'s etc
