Gay Icon Project[edit]

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Birthdate[edit]

The sentence about her claimed birthdate of 1943 does not make any sense. How does the birth of a child prove anything false? Gilliamjf 19:20, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Being born in 1943 would have made her VERY young when first married and pregnant. Like, ages 13 and 14 young. Dates like 1935, which are also given as much as 1943, are more believable. where did she get the name raphael from

Talk show[edit]

Did you notice that Sally Jessy Raphaël show has a stub article. Sally Jessy Raphael has info on the talk show but has significantly more info than the talk show article. I suggest that Sally Jessy Raphaël show be either deleted, redirected or have the talk show section in Sally Jessy Raphael be transfered to Sally Jessy Raphaël show as it would make more sense that way. Children[edit]

Sally claims that she worked at radio station WOSO AM in San Juan, circa 1961. The documents [San Juan Superior Court storage, Barbosa Ave., San Juan] about her divorce, during the early 1960's in San Juan, P.R., will indicate that she had custody of her two children by her first husband, Vladimir; Carl [now Karl]. Soderlund, her [alleged, confirm marriage date and place] second husband did not have custody of his children after his divorce, also in San Juan Superior Court, in P.R. Those children remained with their mother,in Puerto Rico. Therefore, she couldn't EVER raised eight children. Soderlund's children always lived there with their mother, for they are totally absent from Sally's life as reported. Also, her age claims must be matched against the age of her deceased daughter, Allison, eldest born form her first marriage, who died in the early 1990's. 4jasvi (talk) 02:03, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone really believe Raphael was born in 1942? 1935 is more like it. Allison Vladimir was born in either 1958 or 1959 based on her age at death (33 in February 1992), which would have made Sally around 16 when Allison Vladimir was born. Picture Captions[edit]

What on earth is going on with the captions on the latter two pictures in this article? The 2nd one says she's with a fan (she's not) and the last picture is clearly not Sally Jesse(sic). Raphael-Mother’s maiden name?[edit]
