Shouldn't this be merged with the already-existing article Alternating current? --Nate 09:29 Jan 27, 2003 (UTC)

I do not believe so. This article is on the practicalities of electric power generation, transmission and distribution, while [Alternating current] is only about the waveform that is used. I feel that there is a missing overview about the whole topic of Electric Power.
Well, oops; I saw these two articles and decided to merge them without noticing this talk page. Sorry I didn't bring it up here first. I think that as things currently stood, merging was the right thing to do; both articles were talking about different perspectives on the same thing. If anyone wants to un-merge them, feel free. Bryan
